As Communications & Administration Coordinator, you'll help uphold the high-quality support our members rely on by delivering an efficient, proactive, and professional service. You'll be involved in a diverse range of activities, from membership administration and event coordination to social media management, content creation, and member research. Key Responsibilities

Member Services & Administration

  • Act as the first point of contact for member enquiries via phone and email, providing excellent service and support
  • Manage the admin inbox, responding promptly and efficiently to requests
  • Maintain accurate membership data within the CRM system (ReadyMembership)
  • Coordinate and send regular email communications to members
  • Handle contact forms and direct queries to the appropriate team members
  • Provide general administrative cover during colleague absences

Magazine (Print & Digital)

  • Contribute ideas for quarterly themes and articles
  • Manage and update the magazine flat plan and ProofHub workflow
  • Oversee advertising processes, ensuring accuracy and advertiser satisfaction
  • Proofread all content, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and professional presentation
  • Write regular features, including the Association Update and Supplier Spotlights
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director on layout, design, and content placement

Website Management

  • Regularly review and update website content using the CMS
  • Proofread pages to ensure information is current and accurate
  • Manage and respond to website enquiries, forwarding where appropriate

Annual Industry Survey & Report

  • Support senior management in preparing member and customer surveys
  • Collate and manage survey data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Proofread the annual industry report and verify data consistency
  • Coordinate contributor acknowledgements

Social Media

  • Develop and deliver an annual social media strategy to promote the Association and its activities
  • Create engaging posts highlighting events, training, and key industry topics
  • Share content that raises awareness of the self storage industry

Event Support

  • Provide administrative and on-site support for conferences, webinars, and other industry events
  • Assist with event logistics such as delegate registration, materials, and resources
  • Attend key events, including the annual UK Conference (occasional travel and overnight stays required)

Requirements

  • Proven experience in membership administration, communications, marketing (including social media), and event coordination
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence in engaging diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with CMS and CRM systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the wider team, managing multiple priorities, and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong proofreading and editing skills
  • Experience managing social media platforms and creating engaging content
  • Familiarity with email marketing tools and data management systems

Additional Information

  • Applicants must be based in the Northwest, within a 30-minute commute of Nantwich, and have the right to work in the UK
  • Some travel and occasional overnight stays will be required to attend events
  • Responsibilities may evolve to meet the needs of the organisation
  • First-stage online interviews will take place in November, followed by face-to-face interviews for shortlisted applicants

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm

Contract length: 5 months

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
