Team/Role Overview

Citi mitigates risk through the implementation of controls. Controls are important to Citi as they help to mitigate risks, comply with regulations, protect assets, and maintain the trust of customers and stakeholders. Citi maintains an inventory of all its controls

The Markets Control Inventory Management Team sits within the Markets Chief Operations Office and is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the Control Inventory for Global Markets

What you'll do

  • Lead engagement with Markets businesses globally to record and manage their controls.

  • Promote understanding and application of control management standards across Markets.

  • Oversee quality execution of all aspects of the Control Management team's work.

  • Drive continuous improvement of Control Management processes.

  • Lead engagement with the central Quality Assurance function on quality-related matters. 

  • Maintain stakeholder relationships across First Line of Defence, Risk and Internal Audit.

  • Provide risk & control subject matter expertise to stakeholders across Markets.

  • Engage, motivate, coach, and develop MCA Control Management team members.

What we'll need from you

  • ​Extensive proven experience in risk and control analysis, evaluation, and management either in a first line of defence, compliance or internal audit role in Financial Services.

  • Significant experience with ability to demonstrate deep technical knowledge of Markets sales and trading processes across multiple asset classes.

  • Excellent relationship-building, senior stakeholder management, problem solving and communications skills (both written and verbal)

  • Proven track record of successful delivery to high quality standards with excellent attention to detail, an analytical mindset and drive for results

  • Self-starter with ability to manage and prioritize effectively and resolve conflicting priorities
