About The Role
Objective of the role
As Marketing Director, you will take ownership of strategic and operational marketing for the UK. By adapting to the global brand vision, you will be responsible for driving brand awareness and market growth through data-driven insights, consumer trends, and competitive analysis.
With a focus on Digital, you will lead across all consumer-facing channels and will work in strong, strategic partnership with the General Manager.
As the leader of the Marketing team, you will be a strong relationship builder with excellent communication skills and foster cross-functional working partnerships with local, international and global colleagues to deliver the business objectives. Work closely with the global integrator to customize brand strategy for the UK market.
Strategic Marketing Leader
- With a 360 approach lead a comprehensive UK marketing strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Drive the planning, execution, and optimization of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, traditional, and experiential channels.
- Shape NPD launch activations aligning with both industry standards and business objectives.
- P&L responsibility for marketing budgets, lead the planning and phasing process. Ensure effective allocation of resources and maximize ROI.
- Optimize data and performance tracking – KPIs, ROI, consumer insights, and competitive intelligence.
- Collaborating with local commercial team to develop and implement strategies that drive sell-out by maximizing sell-in opportunities, contributing to overall business growth.
Retail Excellence
- Drive digital excellence in how we bring our brands and brand activities to market across all channels including retail.
- Lead the Visual Merchandising team to ensure activations deliver impact at point of sale and support in delivering retail sales objectives.
- Raise brand awareness, accelerate conversion and consideration, and create memorable brand moments.
Communications
- Lead the UK communications strategy to support in building brand awareness, consumer engagement and building relevancy within local market with clear objectives & KPIs.
- Build a strong working relationship with global partners to foster creative thinking, support consistency in strategy and synergy in execution.
Trade Marketing Strategy
- Oversee the planning and delivery of retailer marketing plans across the market.
- Cultivate and support relationships with key retail partners, ensuring cohesive brand messaging and activation across all channels.
- Set objectives and KPIs for campaigns; reviewing post-campaign results to ensure strategy evolves to ensure we deliver business goals.
Category Management
- Shape category objectives and strategies. Develop growth plans for hero categories & SKUs as well as the integration of NPD.
- Lead NPD forecasting in partnership with demand planning & commercial teams.
- Maintain & share competitor and trend awareness in market.
- Partner with Demand Planning to build and maintain annual category-level retail forecast, adjusting as needed to ensure alignment and achievement of overall UK sales target.
Team Centric
- Lead, mentor, and manage a dedicated marketing, communications and VM team to ensure the effective execution of business objectives & KPIs.
- Focus on cross-functional, regional and global collaboration, driving the planning, approval, and follow-up of key projects to gain alignment from all key internal and external stakeholders.
- Support in delivering the Orveon culture and business values.
Profile, Skills And Experience Required
- Agile and resourceful – able to identify and act on new, high-value opportunities.
- Strong cross-functional influence and stakeholder management.
- Strategic thinker and clear communicator with vision.
- Experience in start-up or high-growth environments; comfortable navigating ambiguity.
- Proven track record in leading Retail Excellence with a modern omni-channel approach.
- A strong understanding of the UK beauty market, with experience of working with digital, social, open sell, and department store retail environments.
- An inspiring team leader with a proven track record in leading a high-performance team through coaching, mentoring, and leadership
- Proven success in managing integrated marketing campaigns with clear KPIs and post campaign analysis.
- Strong expertise in media planning and strategy, with a focus on maximizing brand visibility and engagement.
- Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- 7-10 years marketing experience with demonstrated leadership roles in beauty or FMCG sectors.
