We are seeking a talented individual to join our Underwriting team at Victor Insurance UK, part of Marsh. This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We Will Count On You To

  • Reporting to the Underwriting Portfolio Lead you will be accountable for providing support in delivering actional insights to the CUO team and managing relationships with insurer partners.
  • Support and coaching by members of the senior leadership team who succeed and fail together.
  • Support UW Portfolio Lead in creating and embedding portfolio management rhythm across Victor lines of business that delivers an effective process to support Product leads to deliver profitability.
  • Design, development and production of regular portfolio management reporting for CUO and Heads of Underwriting to monitor performance of the UK portfolio.
  • Work closely with Actuarial team to gather data requirements and support in delivering of key strategic data projects.
  • Work closely with CUO and Portfolio lead to prepare for product QBRs, ensuring consistent reporting pack and insights.
  • Collect, analyse and interpret data to support portfolio management decisions.
  • Take ownership of portfolio management of given products and work closely with Product leads to provide actionable insights.
  • Identify and effectively articulate trends and drivers of favourable/adverse performance verses plan.

What You Need To Have

  • Experience of portfolio management, pricing or any analytical role in insurance
  • Delivered actionable insights using large datasets from multiple sources to improve underwriting performance.
  • Good understanding of underwriting performance health indicators.
  • Experience of improving process efficiency and automation.
  • Experience of delivering analytical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Working knowledge of databases/warehouse architecture and data governance.
  • Experience of gathering project requirements and working with other teams to deliver them.
