An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as an Inventory Controller at our customers Jaguar Land Rover Experience Venue in Fen End.

The person will be employed by CSRM Outsourcing Limited which is a resource management company.

As an Inventory Controller you will be responsible for maintaining and continuing to improve, a well-controlled inventory process that manages JLR Experience inventories, with the primary objective of determining / controlling stock levels within the physical distribution system and to balance the need for product availability against the need for minimising stock holding and handling costs.

  • Provide equipment and stores support services to the JLR Experience Venues and mobile demonstration teams.
  • Manage stock in appropriate location(s)
  • Maintain appropriate balance between replenishment lead time, carrying costs of inventory, available physical space for inventory and quality management.
  • Maintain processes to ensure regular inventory forecasting.
  • Carry out stock takes and prepare inventory valuations.
  • Manage processes for withdrawals and returns.
  • Maintain processes to track withdrawn inventory and accurately record usage of material.
  • Ensure that JLR Experience conforms to JLR processes for the scrapping of defective and scrap materials.
  • Supporting disposal of company assets
  • Support compliant processes to ensure that only appropriately trained / certified people have access to hazardous equipment or materials.
  • Support Equipment Compliance Inspections to include testing & certification.
  • Perform audits of venue inventory containers to ensure adherence to due process.
  • Support deployment of Dynamic Display Equipment pre and post event bookings and maintain utilisation metrics.

  • Sourcing of low value goods via approved processes
  • Supporting maintenance and preparation of equipment to support event activation

Measures of successful achievement of the role

· Audit conformance - high quality inventory control.

· Operational efficiency - utilisation rates of equipment

· Cost and revenue targets - minimum inventory damage and loss

· Ability to identify inventory levels, locations, and users at all times.

· Mentoring of JLR Experience venue staff to ensure continuous improvement of inventory controls

· Effective relationships with all key stakeholders

Key Customers

· JLR Experience Venues & Fleet / JLR Experience Supplier Network

Skills, experience, and qualifications required.

· Hold a full UK Drivers licence Including B+E Trailer Towing

· Experience of working in Logistics related disciplines.

· Automotive service industry experience beneficial.

· Good organisation and planning skills

· Good written and MS Office skills

· High level of attention to detail

· Organised, able to prioritise workload balancing multiple projects.

· Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills

This role requires the employee(s) to occasionally drive Land Rover fleet vehicles. Therefore, the following insurance rule applies:

Must be 25 years & over, hold a full driving license and have done so for the last twelve months, have not been convicted of any offence involving dangerous driving, know of no circumstances which would disqualify one from driving, nor suffering from any physical and, or mental condition which would restrict or impair one's alertness or driving ability.
