Tunbridge Wells, Kent, United Kingdom Avid Games Full time £45,000 - £90,000 per year

Job Description

  • We are seeking a talented and proactive Data Analyst to join our dedicated Analytics team. Your main focus will be on driving efficiency and growth by transforming the UA data into clear, actionable insights. This role requires a strong problem-solver who can navigate complex datasets, deliver reliable reporting, and perform in-depth analyses to optimize our marketing investments.

What will you be doing?

  • You will be responsible for the data stack (infrastructure, reporting) and drive strategic insights associated with our performance marketing (user acquisition) spend.  Like most game companies, performance marketing spend is our largest single investment and we are looking for individuals who thrive when given the opportunity and responsibility to drive decision-making utilising data.
  • You will be working closely with the senior leadership and product owners to execute ad-hoc analysis based on data requests and design, build, and maintain the relevant dashboards.
  • Expect to dive deep and execute various analyses to understand the root causes of performance changes, analyzing the impact of creative changes, and market trends across various mobile ad platforms (or anything else we may have missed).
  • We are a small team, and everyone gets to learn and participate in other areas. In addition to performance marketing, expect to help us monitor performance and influence growth.  We are always happy to hear new insights and observations about anything from how our players play our games to the backend data architecture.

What are we looking for?

  • You would either have 3 - 5 years experience in a similar role (gaming / B2C) or alternatively, have a graduate degree in a field which is data-heavy and data-reliant (Thinking lots of simulations, regression analyses, ability to look for patterns and drive insights).
  • You have experience with constructing data sets and cleaning data.
  • You have experience with data visualisation (analysing loads of data is almost a part of the story). You need to tell a story and deliver insights in a simple manner.
  • Experience with descriptive and inferential statistics, including regression or other methods.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Stata, or MATLAB (with a preference for Python, Tableau, and/or SQL).
  • You live and breathe data
  • Team player with strong communication skills and the ability to roll your sleeves up.
  • It's great if you like games (but not a must). We just need you to appreciate the industry and its intricacies.
