We specialise in a wide range of departments, and we're currently seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Sales Advisor to join our team, with a focus on garden equipment, outdoor living, and seasonal homeware deapartments.

Role Overview:

As a Sales Advisor, you will be the face of Mitchells for customers shopping in our store. Your role will involve offering expert advice, maintaining high merchandising standards, and ensuring a welcoming and helpful shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly, approachable manner
  • Provide knowledgeable advice and recommendations on garden equipment, garden furniture, barbecues, and seasonal home products
  • Demonstrate product features and help customers make informed choices
  • Ensure stock is replenished and well-merchandised on the shop floor
  • Handle customer enquiries, returns, and complaints professionally
  • Operate the till and process transactions accurately
  • Assist with pricing, labelling, and stock control
  • Keep your area clean, tidy, and visually appealing

What We're Looking For:

  • A passion for gardening, outdoor living, or home improvement
  • Previous retail or customer-facing experience (preferably in a similar department)
  • Friendly, positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and under own initiative
  • Willingness to learn about products and keep up with seasonal trends
  • Flexible and reliable with a strong work ethic

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of garden machinery (e.g. lawnmowers, handheld tools etc) and outdoor furniture brands
  • Experience in visual merchandising or retail promotions
  • Basic understanding of stock systems or EPOS
