Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong technical background and a keen eye for detail to contribute to the smooth running of our operations.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on machinery and equipment to identify faults or potential issues.
- Perform repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Collaborate with other team members to plan maintenance schedules and optimise equipment performance.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery or equipment as required.
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and well-maintained to promote safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent are preferred.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential. This position is ideal for motivated individuals seeking a challenging role where they can utilise their technical expertise while contributing to the ongoing success of our organisation.

Pay: £26,503.79-£45,131.91 per year
