Overview

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and metalwork, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and work with various fabrication techniques. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality metal products in a dynamic environment, utilising a range of hand and power tools. Candidates should possess mechanical knowledge and be comfortable working with sheet metal and assembly processes.

Duties

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
  • Performing TIG and MIG welding techniques.
  • Fabricating components from sheet metal, ensuring precision and quality
  • Operating fabrication machinery safely and efficiently
  • Assembling finished parts into complete products or structures
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area to adhere to health and safety regulations
  • Conducting quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Assisting with maintenance of tools and equipment as required

Experience

  • Proven experience in metal fabrication or a related field, ideally with TIG and MIG welding expertise.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery
  • Knowledge of sheet metal work, assembly processes, and mechanical principles
  • Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately
  • Prior experience working with various materials such as steel, aluminium, or other metals is desirable
  • Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and organisational skills
