I am pleased to present a brilliant, newly created position that offers an exciting opportunity to shape an organisations strategic communications, media engagement, social media presence and outreach activity.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in positioning the organisation as a trusted, visible, and accessible source of support for key stakeholders. You'll drive awareness across digital channels, strengthen partnerships, and elevate the brand as the go-to destination for advice withing this sector.

As an extension of the senior leadership team, you will collaborate closely with digital, legal advisory, and business support colleagues to deliver high-quality, impactful communications. From media relations and brand management to content creation and internal communications, this is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on shaping compelling narratives and building engagement across a variety of channels.

Duties:

Communications & Media Relations:

  • Lead all proactive and reactive media activity, including drafting press releases and key statements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media partners to maximise strategic coverage opportunities.
  • Develop and grow the organisation's social media presence with timely, targeted, and engaging digital content that drives awareness and traffic.
  • Work collaboratively with industry partners to ensure messaging is consistent, strategic, and aligned across the sector.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with government sponsors and have a strong understanding of the organisation's role
  • Produce and curate impactful content for the quarterly newsletter, increasing its reach and influence.

Brand, Content & Engagement:

  • Safeguard and strengthen the organisation's brand and visual identity across all communication channels.
  • Monitor and respond to online reviews, brand mentions, and feedback across third-party platforms to build trust and positive engagement.
  • Collaborate with content teams to refine tone of voice, style, and messaging.
  • Support outreach, training, and events by promoting webinars, courses, and occasional in-person activities.

Internal Communications:

  • Coordinate internal communications to ensure clear, consistent messaging across the organisation.
