This route is Tuesday - Saturday. We maybe able to look at Sunday - Thursday but this could not be guaranteed.

Van, insurance, fuel, training and uniform provided.

There is no option to use a car.

Fixed daily rate or bonus opportunity available.

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of packages and documents to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to navigate efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations.

Duties

  • Operate a delivery vehicle safely and responsibly, ensuring compliance with all road regulations.
  • Load, unload, and transport items efficiently, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes for deliveries, adjusting as needed based on traffic conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any issues or delays encountered during transit.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
  • Ensure that the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Assist in warehouse duties as required, including inventory management and organisation of packages.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
  • A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated is essential.
  • Experience in warehouse operations is advantageous, providing familiarity with logistics processes.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading of goods.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
