Dynamic caring role as part of ambulance crew transporting patients with mental health needs.

OVERVIEW

We are a non-emergency patient transport service specializing in the conveyance of people with mental health needs. We are looking for bright and motivated individuals to take on the role of Ambulance Care Assistant Driver

This is an exciting role that offers flexible hours. We are a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week service.

Applicants must have a full driving license, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

As an ambulance care assistant driver, you will work closely with your team mates. You will primarily be responsible for:

  • preparing the vehicle, and driving safely at all times.
  • assisting, moving and supporting patients, who may be in acute mental health crisis, and/or be ambulatory or wheelchair bound, using appropriate equipment where necessary, and maneuvering patients in wheelchairs into and out of the vehicle. Ensuring patients are safely seated whilst in transit.
  • Minimizing and dealing with aggressive and abusive behaviour to reduce risks to safety and ensure patient welfare.

This is a zero hour contract position, however we are a 24 hour/ 7 days a week service and can potentially offer hours around your individual commitments

We offer different pay rates during the day, night, Sunday or bank holiday, the rate ranges from: £ per hour -
