National Account Manager – Foodservice

Supplying both Foodservice and Retail channels, they pride themselves on producing a wide range of exceptional, handcrafted products that deliver on taste, consistency, and innovation.
Renowned for their collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement, the business continues to expand its presence across the UK. With exciting new product launches and major growth plans ahead, they are now looking to appoint an experienced National Account Manager to help drive their Foodservice success.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, hands-on National Account Manager to join a forward-thinking bakery business at a pivotal time of growth.
The role will focus on developing and managing key Foodservice relationships while driving new opportunities across channels such as wholesale, contract catering, healthcare, education, and travel & leisure.
Reporting directly to the Head of Foodservice, you will take full ownership of your customer base, creating and delivering commercial plans, negotiating terms, and supporting the execution of a clear Foodservice strategy.
This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys making a genuine impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of regional and national Foodservice accounts
- Identify and secure new business opportunities to deliver growth and profitability
- Develop and execute customer-specific sales and promotional plans
- Build strong commercial relationships with key decision-makers and buyers
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, NPD, and supply chain teams to deliver customer solutions
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and joint business plans to achieve sustainable results
- Provide accurate reporting and analysis to support strategic business decisions
- Represent the business at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events
About You
- Solid experience managing and growing Foodservice accounts at a national or regional level
- A strong understanding of the UK Foodservice market and its key routes to market
- Proven commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and analytical skills
- Experience working with bakery, chilled, frozen, or ambient food products
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a focus on results and relationship building
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel UK-wide, with regular visits to Head Office in the West Midlands
Salary:
£50,000 – £55,000 + bonus + benefits
Location:
Home/Field Based (UK wide travel with one day per week at Head Office – West Midlands)
