Glasgow, Glasgow City, United Kingdom The Munro Agency Full time £25,000 - £35,000 per year

Social Media Content Creator

Glasgow, UK – full time

Are you the kind of person who notices TikTok trends before anyone else? Do you spend time on Instagram Reels, LinkedIn and YouTube Shorts? Perhaps you already have your own following or you simply enjoy posting in your spare time. This is your chance to take that passion and turn it into a career, helping brands use social media in new and creative ways.

Why The Munro Agency

We help ambitious B2B brands grow through marketing that combines creativity and data. Our work with SaaS companies, start ups and established professional services firms is fuelled by a supportive culture that values good ideas and collaboration. You will be joining a close team where your input will be valued.

Your Opportunity

As our Social Media Content Creator you will be involved in capturing and editing video content, experimenting with new trends and helping to tell our clients' stories in a way that is engaging and enjoyable to watch. You will take existing content and repurpose it for social channels, and you will learn how to bring the energy of consumer style social media into the business world.

Where you will work

We offer hybrid flexibility. You can work remotely most of the time, with regular time spent in our city centre offices for collaboration. During your probation period you will spend the majority of your week in the office, because learning directly alongside your colleagues is the best way to start.

What you will be doing

  • Plan, film, and edit short form video content for TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Appear on camera to represent The Munro Agency or help front client stories.
  • Capture behind the scenes footage, workshops, or live events to tell real stories.
  • Repurpose longer content such as webinars or podcasts into multiple short clips.
  • Use AI tools such as Descript, OpusClip, or Runway to accelerate editing and ideation.
  • Manage and schedule posts, respond to comments, and track performance.
  • Collaborate with the content and account teams to align video ideas with campaign goals.
  • Spot cultural or platform trends and bring fresh creative test ideas to the table.

What you will bring

  • A genuine interest in social media and an active presence on TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn or YouTube
  • Confident with a camera, whether smartphone or DSLR, and skilled with basic editing software.
  • Natural curiosity for AI tools, emerging platforms, and storytelling trends.
  • Perhaps you already have a following or regularly post content for fun
  • Video editing skills in tools such as CapCut, Canva, Premiere or Final Cut
  • A creative eye for storytelling and content that captures attention
  • Confidence to share ideas and occasionally appear on camera
  • Curiosity about how to take inspiration from consumer social media and apply it in B2B
  • Any experience managing brand accounts is helpful but not essential

You will thrive here if you

  • Enjoy experimenting with content and learning quickly
  • Want to influence how businesses use social media in new ways
  • Love finding the story behind ordinary moments.
  • Enjoy both producing and performing.
  • Get a buzz from creating content that people actually want to watch.
  • See social media as a creative craft, not a chore.
  • Can move fast without losing attention to detail.

Compensation and Perks

  • Starting salary: £27,500
  • Company pension and 31 days holiday, plus your birthday off
  • Flexible hours after probation
  • Annual learning and development budget
  • Google certifications provided
  • Marketing Automation certification provided

The "terrible" bits

  • Early Finish Fridays, which means you start your weekend early
  • Dad jokes from the director
  • Cheesecake Tuesdays with compulsory cake consumption
  • Monthly team lunch that you do not have to pay for
  • Your face may become an emoji in Slack
  • Legendary Christmas parties with memory loss as standard
