Operations & HR Assistant

General Description:
Join the team at TA Scotland LTD, a company primarily dedicated to guided tours in various languages under the brands (for Spanish), (for English), and (for Italian).
We are looking for a proactive and organised Operations & HR Assistant Executive to support both the day-to-day operations of our tour business and the Human Resources department. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and wants to develop their career in operations and HR within the tourism industry.
Main Responsibilities:
Operation Executive (50%)
- Manage bookings, reservations, and client records.
- Liaise with intermediaries, suppliers, and tourist or cultural attractions.
- Provide excellent customer service in person, by email, and over the phone.
- Support daily tour operations and help resolve any incidents.
- Prepare quotes and assist with general administrative tasks.
Human Resources (50%)
- Assist with recruitment processes (job postings, shortlisting, interview coordination).
- Support onboarding and induction for new employees.
- Maintain and update HR databases and personnel files.
- Assist with payroll administration and absence tracking.
- Help coordinate training, wellbeing, and team-building activities.
- Act as a first point of contact for employee queries and HR-related requests.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position 37.5 hours per week
- Due to the nature of the business, the summer months, particularly August, experience the highest demand.
Requirements:
- Essential
- Right to work in the UK.
- Spoken and written proficiency in Spanish
- Ability to handle customer enquiries in person, via email, and over the phone.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Competent in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools.
- Desirable
- Knowledge of Italian (spoken and written).
- Experience in reservation management, liaising with tourist or cultural attractions, and customer relations.
- Experience in customer service within stressful situations or handling complaints.
- Managing client quotes
- General knowledge of tourist attractions in Scotland.
Salary
- £25,350 - £29000
