The Main tasks are:
· To provide academic leadership and direction for the school ensuring the department/school maintains the highest possible standards in teaching, learning and assessment.
· To ensure delivery of the school's contribution to the college's strategic plans
· To translate strategic goals into operational plans and establish and to implement these operational plans.
· To work with all colleagues in the college to ensure all academic staff are well managed and motivated and have opportunities for career development.
· To manage Programme Managers within the school to ensure that all partner requirements are met.
· To support Programme Managers to embed college initiatives to improve the student journey.
· Foster collaborative relationships (internally and externally) with key stakeholders and partners
· Foster a culture of excellence, co-operation and respect, driving a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion for all students and staff both within and beyond the school.
· To play an active role in institutional committees and projects that enhance and support the wider college endeavours.
· To work closely with the Director of Teaching, Learning and Assessment Enhancement and Director Student Experience and Enhancements to develop and maintain a high-quality student experience.
· To support college recruitment activities and work closely with the marketing and recruitment team to meet college targets.
· To lead on lesson observations in school and support Programme Managers to engage with the process.
· To play an active role in the college meetings and committees to support the wider college to provide a high-quality student experience.
· To report on student experience and outcome data to Senior Leadership Team
