Early Years Activity Leader – Time Out Holiday Camps

Location: Halstead St Andrews School Site

Age Group: 4–6 years

Contract: Holiday camp / seasonal

Pay: Competitive, based on experience

The Role

Time Out Holiday Camps is seeking confident, calm, and capable Early Years Activity Leaders to work with our youngest campers (ages 4–6).

This role is not about supervision alone. You will be responsible for:

  • Leading structured, age-appropriate activities
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment
  • Managing behaviour positively and confidently
  • Supporting children's emotional, social, and physical development

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • A valid Paediatric First Aid qualification
  • Experience working with children aged 4–6
  • Confidence leading groups of young children independently
  • A calm, patient, and professional manner
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills

Desirable Experience

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

  • Early Years or childcare experience (nursery, reception, EYFS, camps)
  • Teaching assistant or trainee teacher experience
  • Sports, dance, drama, or play-based learning backgrounds
  • An interest in progressing into education or childcare as a career

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
