Job Overview

A Regional Product Manager is responsible for growth of a collection of products during there lifecycle across multiple international markets. This strategic role combines market analysis, VOC, product development, and cross-functional collaboration/stakeholder management to drive product success on a global scale.

This role is based in EMEA but supports all markets. They will support VAP (Value Added Products – Swindon and Backshells – Hastings)

This person will be a key member of the team, with aspirations for the future of being a product leader. Product Manager must ensure that their product lines meet or exceed all the key performance indicators established during the annual strategic and operating planning processes. They will work across functions to manage all aspects of the product life cycle from strategic planning to day-to-day tactical activities, with an emphasis on supporting the tactical activities associated with running a product line 

Your main tasks:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive global product strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking
  • Work with Engineering and operations to meet customer expectations & ensure demand is catered for the current backlog
  • Define product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies
  • Work cross functionally to achieve sales, technology and operations strategies and goals, in line with financial goals
  • Implement pricing policy as defined by lead PM(s)
  • Assist in the development of the annual operating plan (Sales and gross or standard margin)
  • Create RTS requests for new product development projects
  • Perform pricing analysis in preparation of catalogue price changes or in response to special pricing requests
  • Perform product cost and gross margin analysis
  • Responding to requests for proposals
  • Analyse excess and obsolete inventory
  • Assist in championing the resolution of product issues, e.g. delivery, quality, inventory
  • Works with Product Pricing team to ensure that the desired margins are achieved
  • Issue product change notices and material change orders
  • Meet AOP targets on the following KPI's:
    • Sales
    • Standard Margin in $ and in %
    • Delivery (STR)
    • Cost reduction targets
Your ideal background:
  • BE/ B.Tech (Electronic, Mechanical or any)
  • Excellent communication
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in handling backlog
  • Understanding of global supply chain and manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements
  • 8+ years' experience in field of Product Management
  • Functional / Technical skills
  • Relevant product or industry experience desired
  • Strong knowledge on SAP MM
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power point

  • Able to demonstrate initiative and ability to make decision
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to visualize and articulate the financial impact

  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to determine priorities and take decisions.
