The Copthorne Hotel Newcastle is seeking a Sales Managerto work closely with the General Manager to maximise revenue and profit.
As Sales Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Developing sales from Corporate, MICE, Leisure, Groups and Tours markets.
- Working closely with the General Manager and the Vice President of Sales to agree strategy and business planning and deliver wider sales requirements.
- Building relationships with local businesses and decision markers, creating awareness and generating strong business leads and attending network events, as required.
- Demonstrating a high focus and awareness of budget targets with proactive actions to develop new business leads.
- Account Management to maximise business in line with budget requirements
- Promoting the wider Millennium Hotels & Resorts portfolio via Agency visits and presentations.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a proactive Sales management role within the hospitality industry.
- Proactively look for opportunities to persuade decision makers to confirm business with the hotel.
· Look for sales opportunities within the planning and development process.
· Provide clear and timely information to customers and the internal team.
· Demonstrate a high level of organisation and administration standards.
- Possess a high level of commercial awareness.
- Have the ability to work hours as the business requires which may include occasional evenings, weekends and ad hoc overnight travel within the UK, based on business activities required.

The Copthorne Hotel Newcastle is situated on the iconic Newcastle Quayside overlooking the famous River Tyne, the Copthorne Hotel Newcastle is perfect for both the business and leisure traveller. The hotel provides modern guest rooms which combine standard, club and suite accommodation all of which have picturesque riverside views.
Dining facilities at the hotel include The Quay 7 Restaurant which offers an à la carte menu with a variety of seasonal dishes. The Quay 7 bar and outdoor terrace offer an extensive wine list and a selection of beers and spirits, along with a variety of hot beverages.
