Job Summary

Bridgnorth Town Council are looking for a Caretaker / Maintenance Assistant to work within the existing team to provide additional cover to provide cleaning, opening / closing, and general maintenance for its community buildings.

This full-time position would suit someone with an eye for detail, with a clear understanding and knowledge of cleaning processes; who would be happy dealing with all users of our public buildings and grounds; and would pride themselves on ensuring the buildings owned and managed by the Town Council are always presented to their best standard.

The role will involve some evening and weekend working, with the successful applicant becoming part of the Town Council's on-call rota. So, a flexible approach to work will be essential.

Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for the opening and closing community buildings for hirers
  • Maintaining clean, safe and secure premises
  • Carrying out ad hoc emergency cleaning
  • Promoting health and safety around the buildings
