Job Summary

Sutton Rose Care Home are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in care homes and home care settings. This position requires a commitment to supporting the physical and emotional well-being of our residents, ensuring they receive the best possible assistance in their daily activities.

Duties

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, while promoting nutritional health.
  • Maintain accurate care plans and documentation, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor residents for any changes in health status.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Drive residents to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring safe transportation.

Skills

  • Proficient in English with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Strong IT skills for maintaining digital records and documentation.
  • Experience in a care home or home care environment is highly desirable.
  • Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.21 per hour
