Executive Protection Specialist, Associate Director

Role
We are seeking a mid-level Protective Operations Specialist to join our Global Security & Crisis Management team at S&P's Ropemaker office in London. This role is crucial in providing executive protection to senior-level executives in a discreet and professional manner. The position requires travel within Europe, Africa, and the Middle East to support business leaders and involves:

  • Performing high-profile executive protection and logistical support during both domestic and international travel.
  • Conducting daily reviews of assigned executive calendars and interacting with staff and associated leadership to ensure seamless protection services.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to lead all aspects of trip planning, execution, and logistics, including creating security plans for trips, events, and off-site activities.
  • Expanding and developing an in-depth knowledge of traditional security threat actors through open-source intelligence, social media, and deep & dark web monitoring.
  • Liaising with local law enforcement and security agencies to ensure comprehensive protection measures are in place.
  • Assisting in the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all protection activities and maintaining security documentation, such as Risk Registers and Internal Threat Databases.

What We're Looking For
Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in law enforcement, military, or government roles.
  • Proven experience in executive protection activities across various settings.
  • Comprehensive understanding of security and risk landscapes, particularly within Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior leadership.
  • Ability to work independently, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Physical presence required at the London office, with willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed, including weekends, and night-time assignments.

  • Excellent written, briefing, and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain composure in dynamic environments.
  • High level of personal ownership, accountability, and integrity.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior leadership and maintain client confidentiality.
  • High level of physical fitness and professional appearance.
  • Valid driver's license and 10 years of experience in law enforcement, military, or government roles.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Membership or certification in professional security organizations such as ASIS, with credentials like CPP or PSP.
  • Familiarity with private aviation, fixed base operations (FBOs), and airport security.
  • Demonstrable experience working abroad.
  • Training in defensive driving tactics.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
