Job Overview

An established garden centre is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic plants person to join the team. Daily duties will include presentation and maintenance of stock, customer service/sales and supporting the plant centre team with a range of duties to ensure excellent retailing standards. The appointed person will have good plant knowledge. Previous experience in a similar role is essential, anyone without experience need not apply.

Duties

  • Stock maintenance, watering, and display.
  • Customer service and giving quality advice.
  • Quoting and sales in person, via email, and phone.
  • Unloading delivery vehicles.
  • Loading customer vehicles.
  • Sell gardening products while giving relevant advice and link selling.
  • Delivery driving occasionally.

Experience

  • Horticultural Knowledge.
  • Previous experience in gardening or horticulture.
  • Be reliable and professional.
  • Physically fit, heavy lifting will be required.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English.
  • A genuine passion for plants and the environment will greatly benefit your success in this role.

Working Pattern

4 days in the week and alternate weekends (36hrs short week, 48hrs long week) Monday to Friday 7am until 5pm with a day off in the week, alternate weekends 8am-4pm Sat, 10am-4pm Sun.
