We are seeking a Team Manager to lead, support, and develop a team of field engineers. You'll be a key player in ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and fostering a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Support: Coach and mentor your team, ensuring they meet mandatory performance and quality standards. You'll build strong working relationships, provide a supportive environment, and manage performance issues through clear communication and documentation.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations, ensuring your team is on-site at their first job by 8 a.m. and that all jobs are completed efficiently. You will be the point of contact for customer service issues, working to resolve problems and avoid on-the-day failures. You'll also manage job priorities for pre-fix crews and ensure all necessary provisions are in place for second visits.
  • Quality and Safety Management: Conduct regular field visits and spot checks to drive quality, safety, and compliance. You'll complete audits to document visits and manage any non-conformance issues using notice of improvement forms.
  • Logistics and Auditing: Oversee team logistics, including ensuring timely stock pre-orders and attending replenishment days. You'll also conduct bi-weekly spot checks on vehicles and tools to enforce high housekeeping standards and ensure all monthly audits are completed accurately.
  • Financial and Brand Responsibility: Make sound financial decisions that align with company goals. You will be pivotal in maintaining team morale and protecting the company's brand, actively seeking new ideas to support growth and ensuring new processes are followed.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the requirements of the role

Candidate Requirements

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Leadership and Coaching: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving abilities to handle customer issues and turn around potential service failures.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage team schedules, job priorities, and administrative tasks effectively.
  • Technical Knowledge: Superior knowledge of installation processes and technical skills to support and coach engineers.
  • Proactive Mindset: A self-starter who takes initiative, drives continuous improvement, and can bring new ideas to the table.
  • Communication: Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for team discussions and official documentation.

Desirable Experience:

  • Field Operations Management: Previous experience managing a team of field engineers or contractors.
  • Quality and Safety Auditing: Experience conducting field audits and managing compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Logistics and Fleet Management: Familiarity with managing vehicle and tool audits, and coordinating stock and inventory needs.
