Production Software Lead

To Be successful in this role you will...
· Deliver world class engineering solutions of the highest quality in order to meet project targets
· Develop low-level embedded C code for high performance production vehicle applications.
· Support requirements definition, detailed design, implementation and test.
· Develop safety related and critical systems to the highest standard, including ISO26262 based requiremtns
· Specify, develop and oversee validation tests on various platforms (HIL, Rig, Dyno, and Vehicle)
· Support and champion software development best practice.
· Provide rapid root cause failure analysis solutions to the business
· Work efficiently to deliver the best solution possible to the customer.
· Day-to-day management of their tasks
Therefore you will need to demonstrate the following skills, Knowledge and Experience...
· Minimum of 5 years in a software development in the Automotive environment.
· Experience of delivering to the full production software lifecycle including requirements, design, code and test
· Excellent knowledge of Internal combustion engine and Hybrid powertrain operation and control, including design of systems to control high voltage and high speed rotating machines
· Good understanding of the AUTOSAR architecture and Vector AUTOSAR tools.
· Experience developing base software for embedded systems, including task management and scheduling.
· Experience developing in C or C++ for embedded systems.
· Experience coding to industry standards such as MISRA-C.
· Code generation from Simulink Coder and TargetLink
· Use of automotive CAN, calibration and diagnostic tools (e.g. INCA, CANalyzer, CANape, etc).
· Experience based knowledge of automotive communication protocols (e.g. CAN, LIN, Flexray)
· Experience based knowledge of embedded systems architectures
· Previous experience of highly successful technical prioritisation within given area of responsibility·
· Experience following a structured development process such as SPICE, ISO26262 or IEC61508.
· Understanding of Internal combustion engine and Hybrid powertrain operation and control.

• BEng/BSc qualified (2:1 minimum) in Degree level or higher in software or engineering related discipline.
Desirable
• years post graduate experience in challenging, and relevant engineering environment
• Chartered Engineer Professional Registration
