Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. This position requires a proactive individual who can communicate effectively, supervise care plans, and contribute to the overall well-being of our senior residents.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
  • Support the implementation of care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Supervise and guide junior staff or volunteers within the care home environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident care and report any changes in condition to senior staff.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents through engaging activities and companionship.
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to within the care home.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills to interact positively with residents and their families.
  • Leadership abilities to supervise and mentor junior staff effectively.
  • Experience or knowledge in developing and implementing care plans for seniors.
  • Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining records and documentation.
  • A genuine drive to provide compassionate care in a senior living environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team while also being self-motivated.
