Weldon and Gretton NN AX, United Kingdom Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK) Full time £25,000 - £35,000 per year

Overview

Novus, part of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT (UK)), works with 18 leading universities to provide students studying undergraduate degrees with events, guest lectures, site tours, peer and professional mentoring, summer placements, yearlong placement and graduate roles. We do this through our 12 sponsors who, in return, get the cream of the graduate crop, guaranteed "work ready".

Novus was created as an answer to the sector-wide skills shortage in logistics, and, alongside its partner programme, Generation Logistics, Novus works to inspire the next generation of supply chain professionals.

The Role:

As Programme Manager, you will be responsible for driving Novus forward, including strengthening links between Generation Logistics, developing engagement with the Novus alumni network, increasing the number of Novus universities and Novus sponsors.

Novus has a varied stakeholder portfolio, including universities, sponsoring companies and, of course, our students. External organisations, such as LEPs and educational charities, are also important in promoting the logistics profession, one of the main tenets of Novus.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Promoting Novus to 1st and 2nd year undergraduate university students

Managing events such as university pitches, assessment centres, site tours, sponsor meetings and our annual careers fair

Drive growth of the Novus programme through proactive engagement with potential university partners, sponsors and stakeholders to support programme expansion and revenue generation

Organising mentoring training and facilitating the matching process

Advertising roles to the Novus cohort and throughout the university network

Supporting students to obtain summer placements, yearlong placements and graduate roles

Reporting activities and outcomes to the Novus Chair and sponsors

Liaising with internal departments, such as Communities and Events to add mutual value to CILT(UK) and student's journeys

Attending or arranging presence at sector trade shows and external careers fairs to promote the work of Novus

Maintain and develop the Novus brand through the website and social media accounts

· Ability to accept ownership for intentions, actions, decisions and outcomes

· Programme management experience

· Stakeholder management experience, desirable in the education sector

· Collaborative mindset and a flexible approach to working

· Able to work under pressure and to deadlines

· Strong communication skills, adaptable to a range of audiences

· Presenting and public speaking experience desirable

· Driving licence and access to a car is essential

About You

Able to start within 1-2 weeks.
