Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Product Specialist
to join our team, with a strong internal focus on understanding, shaping, and enhancing our
Commodity Risk and Trading Management (CTRM)
platform. This role combines product expertise, business analysis, and technical configuration. You will develop deep product knowledge, support internal teams, help design and refine product capabilities, and contribute to pre-sales demo setup and configuration. While some client interaction will still occur, the core emphasis is on
product development, internal enablement, and platform improvement
.

Key ResponsibilitiesInternal Product Expertise & Business Analysis

  • Develop and maintain deep, end-to-end knowledge of our CTRM platform, including architecture,
  • Analyse business requirements from internal stakeholders, translating them into clear and actionable specifications for the product and development teams.
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and enhancement opportunities within the product and propose improvements.
  • Participate in defining, validating, and improving risk models, analytics, and reporting capabilities within the platform.

Product Development Support

  • Work closely with the product team to prioritise features, refine user stories, and support the full product lifecycle.
  • Assist in functional design, testing, and validation of new features before release.
  • Help maintain internal product documentation, user workflows, and configuration standards.

Pre-Sales & Demo Environment Configuration

  • Configure and maintain the pre-sales demo environment to ensure it showcases the full capabilities of the platform.
  • Support Sales and Pre-Sales teams by preparing tailored demo scenarios, datasets, and configurations.

Implementation & Account Support (Secondary Focus)

  • Collaborate with implementation teams to support successful client onboarding and configuration.
  • Assist in troubleshooting complex product issues and elevating internal understanding of product behaviours.
  • Engage with clients periodically to gather feedback and assist with product roadmap alignment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a Product Specialist, Business Analyst, or similar role within a
    CTRM/ETRM or related trading/risk management environment
    .
  • Strong knowledge of commodity trading and risk management concepts (market risk, product control, valuation, P&L, etc.).
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Experience with configuration, workflow design, or systems analysis.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with exposure to risk modelling or analytics.
  • Familiarity with relevant tools and technologies (Python, SQL, VBA advantageous).
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across product, engineering, sales, and implementation teams.
  • Proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail.
