Foster Wales RCT - Kinship Support Team - 37 hours per week

Unit 2 Maritime Industrial Estate, Pontypridd

Grade 11 – Entry Social Worker grade and registration with Social Care Wales

Grade 12 – Experienced Social Worker grade ~ minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience and registration with Social Care Wales

We're currently looking for a full-time Social Worker/ Experienced Social Worker to join our dedicated and friendly Kinship Support Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a service that truly values your expertise and supports your professional growth.

In this role, you'll focus on the support and review of Kinship Foster Carers and Special Guardians. You'll be part of a dynamic fostering service that not only supports and supervises foster carers but also recruits and provides placements across all of Children's Services. You'll work closely with colleagues across the department to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.

We're seeking someone with:

• A strong understanding of the needs of children who are unable to live with their birth families.
• Experience in navigating complex family dynamics.
• A commitment to anti-oppressive practice and inclusive support.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and planning skills.

You'll need to hold a recognised Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Care Wales. We're particularly keen to hear from those with at least three years of post-qualifying experience.
