Bar Manager – The Pig and Butcher – Competitive Salary 

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Bar Manager to join our team at The Pig and Butcher, a well-loved neighbourhood pub in Islington known for its seasonal food, craft drinks, and welcoming atmosphere.

Salary: £42,000 with a salary review after successfully completing three month probation. 

Location: The Pig and Butcher, Islington, London
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:

As Bar Manager, you'll take ownership of the bar, leading by example and delivering outstanding service. You'll be responsible for managing stock, training the bar team, curating a top-quality drinks offering, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leading and motivating the bar team to deliver high standards

  • Managing stock levels, orders, and cellar operations

  • Developing seasonal cocktails and maintaining the drinks menu

  • Ensuring exceptional customer service at all times

  • Upholding health & safety and licensing compliance

  • Working closely with the GM to support wider business goals

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Bar Manager or Assistant Manager in a quality-led venue

  • Strong knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine

  • Leadership skills with the ability to train and inspire a team

  • Passion for hospitality and great service

  • Organised, reliable, and confident under pressure
