We're on the lookout for a creative and player-focused Product Designer to join our brand-new Community Squad — a team dedicated to reimagining how players connect, compete, and express themselves on tombola.
This is an exciting opportunity to design experiences that bring people together — from social features and identity to playful, community-driven interactions that strengthen our player connections.
You'll work end-to-end across discovery, concepting, and detailed design — collaborating with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and Analysts to bring ideas to life.
At tombola, design is a team sport. We value curiosity, collaboration, and creativity — and we're looking for someone who's as passionate about user-centred design as they are about creating joyful, responsible player experiences.
What you'll be doing
- Design player-first experiences — from initial ideas to pixel-perfect delivery.
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that bring our community vision to life.
- Use research and data to design experiences that are simple, engaging, and rewarding.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Tech, Data, and Research to shape and deliver impactful solutions.
- Test and iterate designs quickly, validating usability and desirability through player feedback.
- Contribute to and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across products.
- Champion accessibility, inclusion, and responsible design in everything you do.
- Explore innovative tools and technologies — including AI — to enhance the design process.
- Present and communicate your work clearly, bringing others along on the design journey.
What you'll bring
- years' experience in digital product design, delivering work for web and/or mobile.
- A strong portfolio that showcases thoughtful problem-solving, UX craft, and visual design.
- Solid experience using Figma — including components, auto-layout, and design systems.
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional squads.
- A passion for designing experiences that bring players joy, connection, and value.
- Curiosity about how AI and innovation can enhance design practice.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience designing social or community-driven features.
- Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JS) to support collaboration.
- Experience working with research insights and A/B testing.
- An interest in online entertainment, gaming, or social play.
