Summary
We are looking to expand our growing team with the addition of an IT Support Engineer
The role is tasked with handling support tickets for our growing list of clients, covering hardware, software, network, cloud and project work. Whilst mainly desk based, on occasion you will be required to travel to customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer requests using the ticketing system, adhering to customer SLAs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, servers, printers, routers, switches, scanners and other devices.
- Install, configure, and update software and applications on client systems.
- Secure client systems from potential threats/attacks
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior engineers or third-party vendors.
- Document solutions and procedures.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for service improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Project work involvement
Requirements
- 2+ years working within a similar role.
- Good knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Experience supporting O365 services including Anti-virus, backup and restore and spam filtering managed services. Knowledge and application of InTune is desirable.
- Experience working with MSP support tools.
- Experience working with routers/firewall policies and routing best practices
- Good understanding of network and cloud technologies, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN, WAN and WLAN.
- Knowledge and application of Cyber Essentials 5 Controls
- Understanding of Servers, setup, maintenance requirements and ongoing support tools.
- Understanding of IP phone systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise own workload effectively in the context of conflicting priorities and work on own initiative.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £28,000.00-£33,500.00 per year
