Hours: 2 days per week (flexible schedule)
Contract Type: Fixed-term (8 months)
Salary: £25,465 FTE - Pro rata salary for 2 days per week: £10,186 (£12.21 per hour)
About the Role:
Lincoln UTC is a friendly and supportive environment, and we are looking for a reliable and practical Caretaker to help maintain our premises over an 8-month period: January - August 2026. Working 2 days per week, you will play an important role in ensuring our facilities remain safe, clean, and well cared for. This role would suit someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys hands-on maintenance tasks, and can work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out basic general maintenance and minor repairs (painting, plumbing, joinery, etc.)
- Keep the building and grounds clean, tidy, and safe at all times
- Open and lock up the premises as required
- Report and follow up on any maintenance or safety issues
- Assist with deliveries, waste management, and equipment setup
- Conduct routine health and safety checks, including fire alarms and emergency lighting
About You:
- Experience in a caretaker, maintenance, or facilities role preferred
- Strong DIY and repair skills
- Reliable, organised, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- A flexible and positive attitude, with a commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment
Contract Details:
This is a 8-month fixed-term contract, working 2 days per week.
