Tactical Planning Co-ordinator

Full Time - 37 hours per week

Salary – £43,120 - £53,900 (depending on experience)

Location – Washington /Hybrid

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Wastewater Tactical Planning team at a pivotal time as we continue to enhance our use of Copperleaf Portfolio for investment decision optimisation and develop the service offering of our team.

In this role, you'll take ownership of creating and managing rolling tactical plans for wastewater performance commitments, covering operational, maintenance, and investment interventions. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the Directorate and wider business to design, implement, and monitor plans that deliver the best value for our wastewater performance targets.

You'll become an expert in Copperleaf Portfolio, running investment optimisation scenarios and supporting our business plan with scenario modelling. After a training period, you'll provide this service to the business on an ongoing basis. Collaboration will be key as you work alongside other members of the tactical planning team to develop capital programmes and produce reports on asset risk and capital investment.

This is an exciting chance to influence strategic decisions and help shape the future of wastewater planning.

About you

We're looking for someone who can confidently work with a wide range of stakeholders, building strong relationships and influencing outcomes through excellent communication skills. You'll be comfortable using asset management software and have a proven ability to interpret complex data, turning it into accurate reports that support decision-making.

A flexible and proactive approach is key, along with strong time management skills to meet deadlines and balance priorities. We want someone who uses initiative to challenge existing processes and suggest improvements, whether that's refining investment plans or enhancing business processes through new capabilities.

Experience or qualifications in asset management would be an advantage, as would knowledge of wastewater networks or treatment processes. An understanding of economics could also be useful. Whether you're a recent graduate or bring relevant asset management experience, we'd love to hear how you can make a positive impact as part of our team.
