This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented electrical engineer to work on low-voltage control panels for complex, bespoke machinery — no mass production, just craftsmanship and precision.
The Job
You'll be part of a small, skilled electrical team responsible for building and wiring custom control panels for automated machinery.

- Install and terminate relays, drives, PLCs, HMIs, and control devices
- Work from schematics, layouts, and bills of materials
- Carry out continuity testing and visual inspection
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace
- Collaborate with electrical, design, and test engineers
The Person
- Good experience in electrical panel building
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings
- Skilled in wire selection, crimping, ferrule termination, and cable routing
- Knowledge of AC and DC control systems
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Confident using hand and power tools safely
The Package
- Competitive pay (dependent on experience)
- Overtime opportunities at enhanced rates
- Annual performance bonus
- Pension scheme & life assurance
- 25+ days holiday including bank holidays (increasing with service)
- Sick pay scheme, workwear, staff events, and subsidised refreshments
- Supportive workshop environment with career progression into:
- Panel Shop Team Leader / Supervisor
- Controls Engineer / Electrical Design Technician
- Commissioning or Testing Engineer
Join a company that values technical skill, precision, and craftsmanship — and be part of a team producing high-quality control panels for advanced engineering systems across the UK and beyond.
