Location:Farnborough (full time onsite)Working hours:Shift role working 2 days, then 2 nights followed by 4 days off rotation 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am. We're proud of the progress we've made, but we're just getting started.Join Vodafone Business Security Enhanced and strengthen the cyber security of the UK's Critical National Infrastructure and public sector organisations.What You'll DoBe part of the 24x7 Shift team within the VBSE Assure NOC, supporting multiple networks, providing 2nd Line operational support to Government customers.Provide expert technical services focusing on Transmission and IP elements within the VBSE network.Undertake Assure team maintenance and fault work in accordance with customer service level agreementsUndertake remote provide/ commissioning work on Tx, IP and equipment deployed on customer and network sites to current specificationsDeal effectively /efficiently with queries from customersPerform regular audits on the networks and systemsProvide technical support to others in the department and to customers. Make recommendations to VBSE management on complex technical mattersWho You AreBe able to maintain Customer confidentiality and ability to hold security clearanceIn depth knowledge of Transmission equipment and networks, DWDM, SDH, PDH, etc, in a telecoms provider environmentAwareness of configuration of Ciena and Alcatel equipmentIn depth knowledge of IP networking, switching and routing in a telecoms provider environmentAwareness of configuration of Cisco and Alcatel IP/Ethernet equipmentA clear and analytical approach to problem managementUnderstanding of ITIL working practicesWorried that you don't meet all the desired criteria exactly?We know that everyone is unique, with multiple aspects to their identity and different experiences behind them.
