We need to be confident in the quality of our products and the information provided to our customers.This is an opportunity to join our QA Test and Automation Team, who are a critical part of the success of the business and are involved in the full development lifecycle. High confidence in quality allows us to move fast when delivering software.The team's purpose is to maintain and improve the quality of the FortiDLP Infrastructure and Agent, ensuring that our product is functional, reliable and intuitive to use. Your job will involve developing tools and applying manual techniques to test our software.We're very proud of our development culture across R&D. We put security first, and our QA process ensures that our code is always of the highest quality.As a QA Test & Automation Engineer, you will:Build and use test frameworks and tools,Expand our existing automated test coverage and improve existing regression tests,Investigate the limits of the products in terms of scalability, endurance and interoperability,Test new features to check that they work, fit requirements and are user friendly,Collaborate with the whole of R&D on all areas of the product,Carry out code reviews for improved code quality, maintainability and optimisation,Maintain CI/CD workflows,Proactively find problems before our customers do,Make a valuable contribution from day one. We Are Looking For:An insightful and influential collaborator to join our team. We encourage you to apply for this position if you have some of the following qualities:Several years of experience in a similar role in a QA team that's involved in building software from the start, not just testing at the end,Programming and scripting experience, either in a job role or outside of work,Strong troubleshooting, attention to detail and communication skills,The desire to learn new things and new technologies,Curiosity to take things apart to understand how they work,Proficiency in English. It's also a bonus if you have experience of:Endpoint application or appliance testing,Windows/macOS/Linux systems,Scale and performance testing, e.g. profiling or benchmarking,Development of test strategies and creation of test cases,Frontend and API testing,Cloud platforms, containerisation and virtualisation,Tooling like Terraform and Kubernetes,Software release QA.However, all experience levels will be considered.We use a wide variety of different languages and frameworks in the QA Test and Automation Team, with a focus on Go and Python. Our frontend is developed in Elm. It's not expected that you would be familiar with any of the languages we use, but you should be enthusiastic and willing to learn new things.We are looking for a team player who can think out of the box, enjoys solving complex problems and thrives working things out themselves, while not afraid to ask for help or to learn from their teammates.Does this sound like you?
