About the Role

Confluent is seeking a Senior Director, Professional Services EMEA to lead the next phase of our delivery growth in the region and fully support our consumption-led Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy.

In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for defining and executing consulting objectives. This includes providing strategic assistance in sales, overseeing effective customer onboarding and relationship management, developing team enablement programs, driving key partnerships, fostering the career development of your team, and leading organizational transformations.

The ideal candidate will align with our culture and values as an approachable, thoughtful, and collaborative leader who shares our ambition and consistently puts the customer experience at the heart of every decision. This role reports to the VP, Customer Success Group for the EMEA Region.

What You Will Do

  • Strategic Alignment: Maintain deep relationships and strategic alignment with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams, particularly Sales, Customer Success, Partners, and Product.

  • Customer Success: Maximize customer outcomes and satisfaction, evidenced by consistently achieving financial and operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Financial Leadership: Attain agreed-upon revenue goals for the EMEA region and provide accurate, predictable, and complete forecasts for revenue and new bookings.

  • Team Leadership: Lead an extended team of Professional Services professionals responsible for selling, positioning, and delivering services and education across EMEA.

  • Operational Planning: Conduct long-range planning to determine the optimal cost and effectiveness of operations, policies, and programs relative to our strategic business objectives.

  • GTM Collaboration: Collaborate closely with sales management to create targeted service programs mapped to vertical markets, key accounts, and multi-level service needs.

  • Seamless Delivery: Partner with Sales and Customer Success to ensure seamless and unified customer interactions throughout the lifecycle.

  • Offerings Development: Engage organizational resources to effectively productize, promote, price, and position solution offerings and services.

  • Partner Ecosystem: Work strategically with the partner ecosystem to provide balanced and scalable delivery capability across the region's service portfolio.

What You Will Bring

  • Inspirational Leadership: An enthusiastic, high-energy, and visibly passionate leader capable of inspiring and motivating a large organization.

  • Business Acumen: Possess the intellect and executive presence to become a true business partner across corporate and field functions, contributing to broader strategic conversations beyond functional expertise.

  • Consumption Focus: Demonstrated ability to lead an organization focused on materially impacting customer outcomes and accelerating product consumption rates through best-in-class service engagement. You will promote a culture of continuous customer value, consistently seeking incremental use cases and expanded Confluent platform usage.

  • Execution & Results: Exceptional focus on operational execution, accountability, and the delivery of measurable business results.

  • Resilience and Drive: The resilience and strategic mindset required to effectively manage multiple demanding and critical functions in a fast-paced environment while ensuring deadlines are met without damaging team morale.

  • Influence & Trust: Authentic leadership skills that build loyalty, trust, and influence, fostering effective cross-functional cooperation and partnership.

  • Team Development: A proven team builder and leader with the drive, passion, and enthusiasm to successfully navigate and evolve within a high-growth enterprise software environment.

  • Relationship Management: Demonstrated capability to establish meaningful and professional relationships with customers and partners, manage expectations and escalations effectively, and build mutually beneficial long-term partnerships.

  • Entrepreneurial Approach: A hands-on, entrepreneurial style—one that seeks to be personally involved in all elements of managing responsibilities and actively develops like-minded senior managers with similar capabilities.

  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the EMEA region to engage directly with team members and customers.

What Gives You an Edge

  • Specific experience in Cloud/SaaS enterprise software consulting.

  • Executive presence, industry stature, and credibility to strategically position Confluent in the market.
