Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the daily operations of our retail outlet. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining the store's overall efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales, merchandising, and customer service.
  • Supervise and motivate team members to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional service standards.
  • Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Maintain organised stock levels through effective merchandising and inventory management.
  • Support recruitment, training, and development of new staff members.
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly while maintaining professional communication skills.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the store environment.
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Assist in administrative duties such as reporting, stock control, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Proven management experience within retail or sales environments, with supervisory or team management responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases.
  • Experience in merchandising, sales management, and administrative tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise teams, motivate staff, and foster a positive working environment.
  • Exceptional phone etiquette and organisational skills for handling customer interactions professionally.
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in retail management or related fields is preferred but not essential. This role offers an engaging environment for motivated individuals eager to develop their managerial expertise within a supportive team setting.
