We are currently recruiting for a Laser Scanning Surveyor to join our Digital Engineering department. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Surveyor to work on exciting projects within the Geospatial industry. The ideal candidate will be a qualified chartered surveyor with 2 to 5 years' previous experience within the Geomatics sector. The successful applicant will be based out of our Watford office.
Key Responsibilities
- Adopt and contribute to the company's surveying and laser scanning standards.
- Collaborate with the digital engineering survey team and operations manager.
- Liaise with clients and all project stakeholders on projects as required.
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, to the required scope and ensure compliance with all Company Health and Safety (H&S) standards.
- Ensure any H&S nonconformities identified are rectified so to continue to meet the requirements of the Health, Safety and Environmental Management System.
- Provide feedback at appropriate site/management meetings.
- Support, train and advise junior staff.
- Train Assistant and Junior Surveyors as required.
- Any other duties as required by the business.
Requirements
- Have a relevant degree qualification (Geomatics, Civil Engineering or similar) or at least 2 - 5 years of relevant experience.
- Be technically trained in all aspects of 3D laser scanning and measured surveying.
- 2- 5 years' experience of 3D laser Scanning on large projects; including site capture and pointcloud data processing.
- Knowledge of GPS, survey traversing and network adjustments.
- Knowledge of photogrammetry and meshing techniques.
- Experience of Mobile Mapping (desirable).
- Experience of working with the standard outputs and deliverables in Measured Building Surveys & BIM.
- Chartered surveyor status or professional membership of surveying bodies (desirable at Senior Surveyor role).
- Possess a strong understanding of common industry practices.
- Possess a full clean British/UK driving license with flexibility to travel nationwide.
