Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in multi-drop operations being highly advantageous. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations, ensuring that all deliveries are completed on time and in compliance with road safety regulations.

Duties

  • Operate a lorry to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and records, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or inquiries from clients.

Qualifications

  • Valid UK driving licence with appropriate classifications for commercial driving.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with curtainside lorry operations is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in driving.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
