Job Overview

As we continue to grow we are looking for an additional 2 multi drop delivery drivers to join our growing team based at our Huyton, L36 warehouse on our APC Overnight contract. The ideal candidates for this position will have previous multi drop experience and excellent communication skills. The role requires strong customer service skills for when dealing with our customers and the ability to work well within a team but also on your own.

Duties

  • Safely operate vehicles for the transportation of goods to designated locations.
  • Complete re-departure vehicle checks.
  • Correct use of the hand held scanners for loading/delivering/unloading of all items.
  • Manual handling of items up to 30kgs in weight.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.
  • Deliver in the region of 70-80 drops per day.
  • Communicate effectively with controllers and warehouse staff regarding deliveries and any issues that may arise.

Skills

  • Proven delivery driver experience is essential.
  • A valid UK driver's licence is required for this position.
  • Good IT understanding to be able to use the hand held scanners affectively.
  • Experience in commercial driving is highly desirable.
  • Strong driving skills with no more than 6 penalty points. (Any DG or DR endorsements will not be accepted due to insurance.)
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required on the job.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers effectively.
