Hyde is seeking an exceptional leader to shape and deliver our building safety and remediation strategy. In this critical senior role, you will set the strategic direction for building safety across the organisation and lead the planning, delivery, and oversight of major remediation and improvement programmes.

You will ensure full compliance with the Building Safety Act and all relevant legislation, embedding strong governance, rigorous risk management, and high-quality data standards so decisions remain evidence-based, auditable, and aligned with organisational priorities.

Working closely with the Asset Management & Sustainability Director, you will drive innovation and continuous improvement across the Operations Directorate—ensuring our homes and services are safe, sustainable, energy-efficient, and environmentally responsible. You will be accountable for delivering safe, high-quality homes while managing complex programmes that balance regulatory compliance, operational performance, value for money, and environmental outcomes. Building customer trust through clear and empathetic communication is central to this role, as is strengthening partnerships with internal teams, external agencies, and regulators.

As a senior leader, you will champion a culture of high performance, professional development, and environmentally conscious practices—motivating teams to deliver excellence in building safety, fire safety, remediation, and sustainability.

It may be possible to be located at another Hyde office, however, the role does require frequent travel to London

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience large, complex, multi-site remediation projects with accountability for budgets, timelines, contracts, and technical delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of building safety legislation, including the Building Safety Act, and related regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in managing compliance programs, safety audits, and incident investigations.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams, developing succession plans, and fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to set budgets, forecast, manage financial risk, and maximise external funding and efficiencies without compromising quality or compliance.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, building trust with customers, regulators, contractors, and partners.
  • CIOB Level 6 Diploma in Building Safety Management qualification (desirable or prepared to work towards).

For candidates with no prior experience of working at this level previously the starting salary will be offered.
