As a Head of Operations you will lead and oversee operational activities for Plant Operations, including Fuel Manufacturing, Uranium Recovery, and Site Services. Ensure safe operations and drive strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, safety, and productivity across the Springfields site
Main Responsibilities:- Lead the plant, including: developing and implementing strategies to improve safety, efficiency and productivity metrics; champions adherence to safety, regulatory and company policies; analyse financial, production, maintenance, quality control, and other operational reports, to ensure business objectives are achieved.
- Champion and promote a culture of continuous improvement through the use of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma principles, Systematic Leadership, and other tools; Identify and implement process improvements to improve operations.
- Plan, develops and implements strategic planning of the manufacturing goals, personnel development, and business objectives; plan and schedule production activities to meet customer requirements; monitor and analyse production metrics to identify areas for improvement;
- Deploy staff to balance individual development needs, longer term organisational development goals and to achieve maximum effectiveness for the business.
- Manages operational budgets; identifies opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Serve in critical outward facing role with direct interface to external partners including customers and regulators.
Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- 10 plus years' experience in manufacturing operations or operations support functions.
- Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing certification is preferred.
