Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. Duties

  • Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly during transit.
  • Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, maintaining proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
  • Communicate effectively with clients upon delivery, providing excellent customer service.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately, including delivery logs and receipts.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle at all times.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within commercial driving or warehouse environments.
  • Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
  • Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks.
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritise deliveries.
  • Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long periods of driving.
  • Previous experience in commercial driving or warehouse operations is advantageous but not essential. This position offers an engaging work environment for motivated individuals committed to delivering exceptional service while ensuring safety and efficiency on every journey.
