Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in their homes or care facilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while fostering a supportive environment for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in activities and social events.
  • Follow individual care plans to deliver personalised support tailored to each client's needs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organised environment.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and team members.
  • Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with IT systems for documentation and communication purposes is an advantage.
  • Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathise with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • A valid UK driving licence is required.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care with respect for client dignity and privacy.
