Due to continued expansion, Currie Solutions are recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our team in Warrington.

Shifts considered: Mon-Fri & 4 on 4 off.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication and coordination between various departments, drivers and customers, facilitating the smooth flow of data and information across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and allocate vehicles, areas, and shifts in line with operational requirements.
  • Routing and scheduling of vehicles and drivers in the most cost effective manner and within time parameters set by customers.
  • Communicate relevant operational information to drivers in a clear and timely manner.
  • Handle telephone enquiries from drivers and customers, escalating to the appropriate department when necessary.
  • Accurately input and update data in the Traffic Management System, ensuring all fields are properly completed.
  • Monitor and support drivers to ensure compliance with tachograph regulations.
  • Track and trace trailers and trucks
  • Accurate input of data into traffic management system ensuring all required data fields are completed.
  • Ensure that paperwork received from drivers is all present and correct and passed to the appropriate departments.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Good understanding/knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Transport Manager CPC is desirable
