Pharmacy Training Lead

As Pharmacy Training Lead, you will play a central role in developing a capable, confident, and high-performing pharmacy operations team within one of the UK's fastest-growing healthcare start-ups.
Reporting into the Head of Pharmacy Operations, you will design and deliver innovative training programmes that enable our team to work efficiently, safely, and consistently, all while supporting exceptional patient care.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in learning and development, operational training, or process optimisation within a regulated or fast-paced environment. You will combine a passion for people development with a strong understanding of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and behavioural coaching.
Your work will directly impact quality, compliance, and team engagement, ensuring our pharmacy teams are equipped to deliver at scale as we continue to grow.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining & DevelopmentDesign and deliver structured onboarding and capability programmes for new and existing team members across pharmacy operations.
Build engaging learning materials and e-learning content that reflect best practice and operational excellence.
Conduct skills assessments, track progress, and identify development needs to support performance growth.
Deliver group training sessions, refresher workshops, and one-to-one coaching to build confidence and consistency across the team.
Work closely with the Head of Pharmacy Operations to translate process and performance requirements into clear, practical training.
Support rollouts of new systems, technology, and SOPs through hands-on training and change management.
Collaborate with Pharmacy Managers and QA leads to ensure all training aligns with compliance and governance standards.
Monitor training effectiveness through feedback, data, and performance metrics, and iterate accordingly.
Champion a learning-focused culture where feedback and coaching are integral to daily operations.
Develop mechanisms to capture team insights and turn them into training or process improvements.
Partner with leadership to embed operational excellence frameworks and drive accountability.
Contribute to broader initiatives that improve staff engagement, workflow efficiency, and patient outcomes.
Proven experience in training, learning and development, or operational enablement within a regulated, healthcare, logistics, or similar environment.
Strong understanding of process design, SOPs, and performance management in fast-paced operations.
Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills; able to train and influence at all levels.
Skilled at analysing performance data to identify skill gaps and drive measurable improvement.
Passionate about helping teams grow and succeed in dynamic, high-growth environments.
Confident using digital tools, e-learning platforms, and G-Suite (or similar).
(Desirable but not required) Exposure to pharmacy operations, healthcare compliance, or medical logistics.
