About the Role:

Colleague Relations (CR) Lead
to join our People Business Partnering team on a
job share basis (3 days per week)
at the East of England Co-op.

As a senior ER subject matter expert, you'll co-lead the delivery of high-quality, consistent and legally compliant case management across the organisation. Working closely with another CR Lead and our People Business Partnering Officer, you'll advise leaders on complex cases, shape ER policy and governance, and build manager capability through proactive guidance and training.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead, coach and manage a team of CR Advisors, ensuring high-quality, consistent case management.
  • Act as escalation point for complex or high-risk ER cases, ensuring fair and legally sound outcomes.
  • Own and maintain ER policies, processes and governance frameworks.
  • Deliver training and guidance to build manager capability in handling ER issues.
  • Analyse ER data and insights to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.

What You'll Need

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent HR qualification/experience.
  • Extensive HR/ER experience, including managing complex or high-risk cases.
  • Deep understanding of UK employment law and ER policy frameworks.
  • Proven leadership and coaching experience within an ER or HR function.
  • Strong communication, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • CIPD Level 7 or tribunal experience (desirable).
