Role Description

The Customer Trading Manager oversees and executes day-to-day branch operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery and maximizing sales opportunities in our Newport location. This full-time, on-site role includes managing stock, merchandising, and team leadership to meet business targets. Responsibilities also involve analyzing customer trends, improving store performance, and working with cross-functional teams to implement effective trading strategies.

Qualifications

  • Experience in retail, merchandising, and stock management
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
  • Analytical skills to evaluate sales data and customer trends for decision-making
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for relationship-building and customer service
  • Proficiency in planning and organizational abilities to meet deadlines and manage priorities
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing role is advantageous
  • A proactive, results-driven attitude with a focus on achieving targets
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment
  • Knowledge of business operations and familiarity with Sainsbury's brand is a plus
